Job Description

The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia is a dynamic and growing Department with energetic faculty, outstanding residents and fellows, highly skilled technical and administrative staff, and state-of-the-art equipment.

The Department is organized into the Divisions of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Breast Imaging, Pediatric Imaging, Body Imaging, Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Noninvasive Cardiovascular Imaging, Community Radiology, and Medical Imaging Research. Our clinical services include all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging and image-guided, minimally invasive Interventional and Diagnostic services.

Our Opportunity:

Due to continued growth, the Department of Radiology has created a Community Practice Division and has a need to recruit an ABR board certified; fellowship trained Breast Imaging Radiologist to join an expanding program in imaging services that includes affiliated community hospitals. This opportunity will be in our Haymarket, Culpeper and Prince William practices. (Northern Virginia).

Our practices are integrated with the hospital multidisciplinary programs where talented collaborators in all specialties are available in a supportive environment.

Successful candidates should have:

Clinical experience in Breast Imaging

A commitment to patient focused care, interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork, teaching, and clinical research

ABR board eligibility or certification and fellowship training

The ability to contribute to reading general radiology studies is a benefit but not a requirement.
